The protection of your data is a high priority for us at Countryside Management Training (CMT). You can view our website pages without disclosing any personal data. Where our courses and portal do require an account, we collect only what's needed to provide that service.
The processing of your personal data is always in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable UK data protection law.
What information we collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- Account registration — if you register for the training portal, we collect your name, email address, and organisation (where applicable), so we can create and manage your account.
- Course activity — your course progress, quiz results, and any certificates issued are stored against your account so you can track your own learning and access your certificates.
- Survey submissions — if your account has access to submit river catchment survey data (SSRS/CAS), we store the submissions and any photos you attach, associated with your account and organisation.
- Contact enquiries — if you contact us directly (by email or a contact form), we collect the details you provide in order to respond.
Why we collect it
We use this information to provide and manage your access to our courses and survey platform, to track your progress and issue certificates, to respond to enquiries, and to meet our own record-keeping obligations.
Cookies
Our website uses only the essential storage needed to keep you signed in, plus Google reCAPTCHA on our contact form to block spam — we do not use tracking or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full detail.
Third parties
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Our website and portal are hosted with the support of 54 Degrees Design, our web development partner, survey submission data (including photos) is stored via Microsoft SharePoint under our organisation's own tenancy, and our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam — see Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data.
Managing your data
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time. Before disclosing any information, we'll ask you to confirm your identity.
To do so, email us at info@countrysidemanagementtraining.com or write to us at:
